Rakhi, Shravan Poornima and Eclipse August 2009 Astrology
Rakhi or Raksha Bandhan (Sister Brother Day) falls on full moon day (August 5th 2009) in Luni-solar calendar month of Shravana (Shrawan, Shavan or Shravan). This is the day of Shravan Poornima (Purnima), the day in which moon is in Shravana nakshatra according to Vedic astrology. It is a day on which brothers and sisters renew their love and affection for each other. Bhadra Karan ( inauspicious time) on that day in Panchang is over after five PM all over India.
