Tithi Dosha
Tithi Dosha (Dosham, Dosh) arise in Vedic Astrology because some tithis have inauspicious moments while sometimes it may be only for specific combinations. . Tithi is the Vedic Lunar day counted from the Full Moon (Poornima) or New Moon. Each Tithi day is equal to a lunar transit of twelve degrees from the Sun. Amavasya (New Moon), Krishna Chaturdasi (Fourteenth day in waning moon period), Soonya Tithi (Zero effect Tithi) and Dagdha Tithi (Combust Tithi) are considered inauspicious.
Amavasya (New Moon) Tithi is ruled by Rahu and is considered very inauspicious as it brings poverty on the person born as well as the family. It rules hell and brings untold misfortunes. A lady born in this Tithi is said to become a widow early.
Krishna Paksha Chaturdasi Tithi comes when the Moon is 336 degrees to 348 degrees from Sun. it is also called Narka (Hell) Chaturdasi. The twelve degrees can be further subdivided into six parts of two degrees each giving the following the results

6th | 346-348 | Death or destruction of the native | The effect is of Rudra in the ninth house. |

Ghatak Chakra should be analyzed as follows. If some one is born in Libra moon sign, then if the tithi is 4th, 9th or 14th in waxing or waning moon period (krishna or sukla paksha) that is Rikta, then it is Soonya tithi and inauspicious. Birth moon sign is replaced by Birth Sun Sign for determining dagdha Tithi. That is If some one is born in Libra sun sign, then if the tithi is 4th, 9th or 14th in waxing or waning moon period (krishna or sukla paksha) that is Rikta, then it is dagdha tithi and inauspicious.
